A group of 13 Orang Asli from Pos Titom, Hulu Jelai, Pahang voluntarily joined the search and rescue operation for Jaslinda Saludin, who has been missing on Gunung Batu Putih since Sunday. The SAR team met them near Gunung Rayu. The volunteers are part of Team Pelindung under the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) and have been searching for four days. On the 10th day of the operation, no additional teams were deployed; the same team continues using a Mi-17 helicopter.
TAPAH: Sekumpulan 13 Orang Asli dari Pos Titom, Hulu Jelai, Pahang tampil membantu operasi mencari dan menyelamat Jaslinda Saludin, 49, yang hilang di Gunung Batu Putih sejak Ahad lalu.
Penolong Pengarah Bahagian Operasi Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia Perak, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad berkata, pasukan SAR yang beroperasi di sekitar Gunung Rayu telah bertemu dengan kumpulan Orang Asli terbabit yang turut menjalankan pencarian mangsa secara sukarela.
“Kesemua sukarelawan berkenaan adalah sebahagian daripada Team Pelindung di bawah Jabatan Perlindungan Hidupan Liar dan Taman Negara yang aktif menjalankan pelbagai aktiviti di kawasan hutan berkenaan. “Kumpulan ini juga dipercayai telah memulakan usaha pencarian secara sukarela sejak empat hari lalu,” katanya di sini hari ini. Sementara itu, beliau berkata, operasi SAR hari ke-10 masih sama seperti semalam dengan pasukan yang dihantar menggunakan pesawat Mi-17 masih berada di lokasi bagi meneruskan pencarian mangsa.

Orang Asli to Aid in Search for Missing Hiker in Gunung Batu PutihThe search and rescue operation for missing female hiker Jaslinda Saludin, 49, will now include Orang Asli from the local community. Search for missing hiker Jaslinda Saludin expanded to off-trek areas with Orang Asli community involvementSearch and rescue (SAR) operations for the missing female hiker Jaslinda Saludin, 49, have been expanded to off-trek areas with the involvement of the Orang Asli community from Kampung Ampang Woh.
