$125 million Royal Caribbean cruise terminal in Galveston is set to open Nov. 9

the same day it opens, according to Khiavett Diaz, account executive of public relations with Royal Caribbean.

It will debut with seven-night Western Caribbean cruises to destinations such as Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; and Roatan, Honduras.. Royal Caribbean will lease 10 acres of land for the new terminal at Pier 10, the port’s southeast section, for 20 years.The terminal was originally set to be completed in November 2021, but as a result of the pandemic, the development was postponed and it was not expected to be completed until fall 2022.

Royal Caribbean currently has two ships that sail out of Galveston; the Liberty of the Seas and Vision of the Seas.
