A 12-year-old boy died at a hospital after being shot at a Fort Worth strip mall late Monday.

A boy died late Monday after being shot at a strip mall in East Fort Worth.

Officers responded to Cook Children’s Medical Center about 10:20 p.m. after learning a child was brought there with a gunshot wound, according to police. The child died less than half an hour later.Police said the child was shot inside a building in the 5500 block of Brentwood Stair Road, near Interstate 30 and Woodhaven Boulevard.Email Address
