Proof that sweaters aren’t only for winter
We’re not yet to the midway point between the summer solstice and the fall equinox, but we think you should start shopping for knits ASAP. Not the heavy, cozy sweaters you bring out for the most bone-chilling days—but lightweight, open-knit pieces more than suitable for summer. Breathable weaves add dimension to your outfits, but finding the tops, dresses, skirts, and more that won’t leave you with heatstroke in the warm weather can be a bit daunting if you don’t know where to look.
Open knits don’t require much more layering than your normal dresses or tops, and “often they are delivered with a matching slip, like this,” says Buccini. Depending on the piece, these styles can easily transition from day to night, as well. Buccini opts for “a simple nude camisole underneath” an open-knit top for day trips into the city, switching into “a sexy silk bra in a matching color” for the evening.

Everything But The House Puts Third Man Records and Jack White Pieces Up For SaleCincinnati auction house Everything But The House has put up a doozy of a garage sale, listing a collection of memorabilia from Third Man Records and The White Stripes' Jack Whites's garage. Pieces range from musical gear to furniture, electric vehicles (White's old Tesla, to be exact) and 'mechanical novelties.' Most notably up for grabs are two guitars: the White Stripes-era Framus acoustic guitar that was used in the “We’re Going To Be Friends” music video and White's blue Ernie Ball St. Vincent guitar used on the Boarding House Reach tour. A portion of the proceeds from the sale will benefit Southwest Detroit's Clark Park Coalition and the revival of the historic public park. The sale ends on July 30 at 7:30 p.m. Item details are provided by EBTH, from Third Man Records' archivist Ben Blackwell.
