11,000 hospital beds available for virus patients

THE Health Ministry has increased the number of beds in Covid-19 designated hospitals and low-risk quarantine treatment centres to 11,076 to bolster the healthcare system’s capacity for managing the epidemic. Health Minister Dr Adham Baba said there are 3,505 beds in coronavirus hospitals and 7,571 beds in 46 PKRCs now compared to 2,820 beds in the hospitals and 3,975 beds in the PKRCs on October 6.
