“Sepuluh orang terkorban dalam nahas itu manakala 11 lagi dipindahkan ke hospital berdekatan,” kata jurucakap perkhidmatan kecemasan, Mojtaba Khaledi.
Katanya, kemalangan itu berlaku sekitar jam 5 pagi waktu tempatan di lebuh raya yang terletak berdekatan bandar Zanjan. Timbalan ketua polis Zajan, Mohammad Ali Azimi, berkata bas itu dipercayai dipandu laju sebelum tergelincir dari jalan dan terjunam pada ketinggian 12 meter ke dalam gaung. “Mereka yang maut termasuk seorang wanita dan kanak-kanak lelaki berusia 12 tahun. Jumlah kematian dijangka meningkat,” Mohammad Ali Azimi.
