10 individu ditangkap, rompak cip kasino Genting Highlands
KUANTAN: Polis Pahang menahan 10 individu berusia antara 30 hingga 59 tahun termasuk seorang warganegara asing dipercayai merompak kira-kira 1,160 keping cip kasino yang dianggarkan bernilai RM4.6 juta di Genting Highlands, Bentong, dekat sini, Sabtu lalu.
“Hasil siasatan awal, dalam kejadian yang disedari pada 28 Oktober lalu melalui rakaman kamera litar tertutup di bangunan berkenaan kelihatan dua lelaki memasuki bangunan yang menempatkan beberapa bilik kasino khas dengan menggunakan laluan kecemasan. Mengulas lanjut, Yahaya berkata, polis merampas sebanyak 428 keping cip yang bernilai hampir RM2.99 juta dan wang tunai RM16,438.
“Susulan tangkapan yang dibuat itu, polis masih lagi mengesan baki sebanyak 732 keping cip dipercayai telah digunakan.
