The cast of Marvel's X-Men '97 from the new trailer
X-Men '97 has received an abundant amount of praise since the moment episode one went live on Disney+. While the storytelling is phenomenal and the animation looks great, the best parts of the show are the compelling and entertaining cast of characters. With the large number of characters that make up this astounding cast, there seems to be a character for everyone, and has audiences all across the world falling in love with X-Men all over again.
Being a young and humorous character makes Jubilee an audience surrogate of sorts. She's relatable and that relatability makes her a character that's easy to get invested in. One can't help but smile when Jubilee enters the fray and brings her spirit to lighten the mood, even when things are getting tough.
Beast's kind-hearted nature makes it impossible not to smile at the adorable blue ball of fur whenever he enters a scene. He is a wonderful representation of the idea of not judging a book by its cover, making Beast a physical representation of one of the primary things the X-Men stand for. He's also a founding member, making it nearly nonviable to picture the X-Men without him.
The melodrama between Jean and Cyclops is one of the driving hearts of the series. Their love story is complicated yet heartwarming and, therefore, engaging. Jean needing to let go of Nathan, and sending him to the future with Bishop, is one of the most emotional moments in the series, and it's all because of how enthralling she is as a character.
