Fire officials respond to call of fire at Bronzeville hirise building.
A person was taken in serious-to-critical condition in a high-rise fire in the Kenwood neighborhood, said Chicago Fire Department officials.
Chicago firefighters responded Wednesday morning to a call of a fire at a high-rise building in 4800 block of South Lake Park Avenue.Shortly after 10:15 a.m., firefighters were called to 18th floor, but later officials said the blaze is on the. 15th, 16th and 17th floors. A 211 alert was called at the scene.Advertisement
Flames were out an upper floor window around 10:45 a.m., but shortly after fire officials wrote on Twitter the fire was under control.
