A man was killed while a policeman was injured after a male suspect held hostage a male relative, an elderly woman relative, and a young girl in Barangay San Jose in Antipolo City Tuesday morning, March 7.
The police report identified the fatality as a certain Benjamin Balajadia, while the wounded victim was Patrolman Christian De Vera of the Antipolo Police Station. The two policemen, upon arrival at the crime scene, saw the suspect holding hostage an elderly woman and a young girl. It was learned from the police that the killing of Balajadia happened prior to the arrival of the responding policemen.
