A group had gathered at the grave site of 19-year-old Tyreek Fairel, who was shot and killed in Norristown in 2013, for what authorities referred to as a “birthday celebration” for the deceased.
According to investigators, the shots came from among the large group that had gathered for the memorial, and more than 30 rounds were fired. Two men from Philadelphia were hit: Daniel Elijah Hawkins, 29, was killed, and Arian Davis, 33, was injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment., Montgomery County Detectives and the Horsham Police Department are working together to investigate. Authorities ask that anyone with information about the shooting to call either department.
The Inquirer reports that Hawkins was with Fairel during the 2013 shooting in which Fairel was killed. Hawkins, then 19, was also injured in that shooting. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
