1 in 5 Malaysian adults has diabetes

ONE in five Malaysians aged 18 and above – or about 3.9 million people – has diabetes, according to the 2019 National Health and Morbidity Survey . Health Minister Dr Adham Baba, presenting the findings at the ministry today, said the prevalence of the disease in the country has increased to 18.3% from the 13.4% recorded in 2015.
