One man is dead and another is in critical condition following a shooting early Sunday morning in downtown Anchorage, according to the Anchorage Police Department.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -
Around 2:45 a.m., APD responded to the 700 block of West Fourth Avenue and found two wounded men, according to an online dispatch. Each had been shot. The victims received care for life-threatening injuries at the hospital, where one of the men was declared dead. This person’s name will be made public once police can notify his next of kin.Investigators went this morning to the crime scene at Fourth Avenue between G Street and H Street. As of 6 a.m., that area was still closed.
While police do not believe there are other suspects, they ask for the public to call in with tips at 3-1-1 or 907-786-8900 .
