A man was killed and a woman was seriously wounded during a shooting late Monday in a parking lot in southwest Houston, officials said. Officers around 7:30 p.m. were dispatched to the 9600 block of Beechnut Street, where they found one man dead from a gunshot wound, Lt. J.P. Horelica of the Houston Police Department told Metro Video Services reporters. Investigators then learned a second person, a woman, had been taken to a hospital in a red vehicle. She was in serious condition.Witnesses told police two men in a black vehicle had gotten into an argument with another group of men in the parking lot.
